The 2014 Kahshe Photo Contest

The fifth annual Kahshe Photo Contest celebrating the beauty of our lake, its people and its good times is closed and judged. The prizes were awarded at 12:00 noon at the Craft Show. All photos were displayed at the Craft Show.

JUDGES: This year the judges were Randy Craig and Missy Mandel.
We are pleased to announce that there were two first prizes of Cruises for two compliments of Muskoka Steamships, each valued at more tan $100.
We have also received prizes of tee shirts from Cottage Life courtesy of Randy Craig.
Other prizes were donated by the KLRA from its famed Boutique --sweat shirts, tee shirts and mugs.ABOUT THE CONTEST
There are five categories. Three are for adult (over 12) photographers:
*Kahshe Nature: Landscape (the natural beauty of Kahshe, its flora, throughout the year). Duncan Collis won first place Landscape, shown with Clare presenting him with a cruise donated by Muskoka Steamships.
*Nature: Wildlife: (the wide range of wildlife from insects to birds to anilmals)*Life on Kahshe (people and good times on Kahshe)
Darcy Lake won first place in this category, shown here with Clare on stage at the Craft Show.
*Kids on Kahshe (kids being kids at, on and in Kahshe).
*Kids’ Eye View, a special category for photographers 12 and under and an opportunity for young people to use their imagination and capture special moments on Kahshe.
Six year old Lily Sahli's picture won first place in this category for the second year in a row.
