Members' dues allow us to operate the Association at a good level when there are no significant additional requirements. Occasionally, though, extra funds are needed. Examples include maintaining Nagaya Beach, along with its swim rafts, buoy line, benches, etc; legal costs associated with OMB appeals; or replacing/upgrading our navigation buoys around the Lake.
The KLRA accepts donations to allow it to enhance its operations. This allows us to build a reserve, which then allows us to fix problems quickly without appealing to members at the time funds are needed.
Your Board of Directors will direct donations to the General Fund in most need. Donations to targeted funds, such as the Rock Marker Renewal Fund will be used exclusively for that purpose (in the event that a targeted-funds campaign, such as the Rock Marker Campaign, is over-subscribed, any surplus funds will be used exclusively for other KLRA programs that benefit the members and the community of Kahshe and Bass Lakes). The state of reserves will be presented at each Annual General Meeting.
Donations can also be made by cheque sent to our Treasurer at the address shown at the bottom of this page.
The KLRA is a not-for-profit organization. As such, we regret that donations are not tax deductible.
