2013 Kermit Long Fishing Derby by Ken Long

From 9am to 3pm on July 27th, Denne's Dock was abuzz as 32 kids brought in 81 fish to be measured and entered into the Kermit Long Fishing Derby. Each child received a toonie for their first fish entered.

The largest fish was a 16 9/16 inch walleye brought in by Ryan Hill (Pictured here)
His other 2 walleyes at 161/2 inch and an even 16 inch were the second and third largest fish of the day. Thus, Ryan's name will be added to each of the 3 permanent trophies.

Five other species of fish were caught, with a trophy for 1st, $7 for second, and $5 for third place.

Thanks for KLRA and individual cottagers whose donations made this fun event possible.
